フランス在住のアーティスト、マリアは、このHPに写真を寄せてくれています。音や光をとらえる彼女の感覚はとても繊細で、その視点にはいつも新鮮なおもしろさと、どこか詩のような魅力があります。そんな彼女の写真を、これからこの場所で少しずつご紹介していきます。

Maria, an artist based in France, has kindly contributed photographs to this website. Her sensitivity to sound and light is remarkably refined, and her perspective always carries a freshness, a sense of wonder, and something of a poetic charm.

We are delighted to share her photographs here, little by little, in this space.

マリア・カストロ

サウンドデザイン、音楽、写真、映像など、さまざまな表現分野を横断し活動するアーティスト。ポルトガル・リスボンに生まれ、イギリスで学び、活動を続けたのち、現在はフランスを拠点に制作している。

創作の出発点は写真にあり、これまでに個展やグループ展を数多く行ってきた。その後、音楽を学び、ロンドン大学で映像のためのサウンドデザインを研究し、博士号を取得。とくに、音と映像がどのように影響し合い、響き合うのかに関心がある。

Maria Castro

Multidisciplinary artist working in the areas of sound design, music, photography and film. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, studied and worked in the UK, currently based in France. First artistic interest was photography, leading to several solo and group exhibitions before obtaining a Music degree and a PhD in Sound Design for the moving image at the University of London. Particularly interested in the interaction between sound and image.
